The title speaks for itself. I've successfully had a job since my second interview. It's nice.
I still would like to find work as an artist so, we'll consider myself unemployed in the art world. I do have a show coming up next April. Norwescon 35. I'm in serious need of some finished artwork.

Job Offer
I received a job offer today. I'm going to take it and see where it leads me, should be an interesting trip. I'm also getting closer to having my own site / blog / portfolio online so when that happens I'll just post the link and let anyone interested switch over there. I may just leave this blog up for prosperity and memories :)
The Moron In My Mind - Terry Pratchet
An interesting radio interview of Terry Pratchet. My sister sent it my way and it's quite interesting. It talks about Terry Pratchet's roots as a writer and reader (volunteering at the library as a child to get access to the adult books) and how his fantasy is his preferred medium for social commentary. He's really amusing in the way he communicates. Besides all of that they ask him about how he deals with early onset Alzheimers in his life and work.

Paper Zone Interview
I have an interview for an Assistant Manager position at the local Paper Zone store. The manager seems very nice and I have been thinking about the prospect a bit. I have quite a few questions both about the potential for growth in the company and about whether or not I would fit in. If anyone has experience here do tell how the place is to work at.
Update
Yes, I realize it has been a while since I posted. I got caught up in taking videos on my phone and ran into a wee bit of trouble uploading the videos to youtube. So my identity has progressed and while I've used the original ideas, they were more of a spring board to get me going in the right direction. I'm 100% enamored with my new design. Perhaps most wonderful of all is that it is to the point of feeling like creating art, which... quite simply is a euphoric sensation.
It took me a while, and I've even sent out some resumes with an earlier look, but thanks to a useful tip from Marc and Signs By Tomorrow it looks even better, AND takes less ink for an employer to print out. :) Yay!

Identity Rant
I wanted to get the inspiration for my new identity down, right from the horse's mouth. So I made my first personal youtube video. This is a bit of a rant, focusing on why I have problems with building my own personal identity and also why I'm excited to be doing it regardless!
So getting laid off...
So I just got laid off on the 31st of April. I'm currently looking for a job like many other people in the U.S. I would be lying if I could say I didn't see this coming, so I suppose I'm a lot less freaked out then I otherwise would be. On a positive note, I finally have to sit down and develop my personal portfolio website. It should be enjoyable.
